I Have Returned…

Hello? Hellooooo!

If there’s anybody still there after a very nice two-month rest from blogging then thanks for sticking with me!

If you didn’t already know, I took some time off to participate in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and I managed to get this:

Winner-180x180

A coveted winner’s badge, meaning that I managed to write a 50,000 word first draft of a novel in just one month. And jolly proud I am of it too, as it means I can cross of an item from my bucket list, namely, Write a Novel. I did also cross off some other things over the past two months, but I’ll go on about those in more detail later.

So what next for me? Well, I’m not really sure. The first thing I’ve done since coming back to the blog is look at all the posts I’ve got saved to finish (lots), I’ve taken off some outdated bits and bobs and – perhaps more importantly for me – I’ve taken all the network badges off, with the intention of withdrawing from the numerous ‘mummy blogging’ networks I’ve joined since starting to blog. Is this wise? We’ll see, but I can’t say I’ve gained much by being associated with these networks and I’ve felt more and more constrained by a set of numbers, determining how worthwhile the content of my blog is.

The purpose of my blog is for me to witter about what i feel like. There seems to be an opinion that a lot of reviews = a bad blog, but I like using stuff and telling people what I think about it, especially books and theatre so if that makes it a bad blog then fine, I’ll just witter to myself and have done with it :0)

So, as I said, thanks for sticking with me if you did (cos you’re the best ones…) and there’s more to come on a more regular basis, especially in April, when I’m hoping to take part in the Blogging from A-Z Challenge again. TTFN…
