A bit of excitement in the old household yesterday – let me esplain: A while ago I entered a Facebook competition run by Dorset Cereals to suggest what flavour you would like to see in their Granola range. I have to be upfront here and say when I entered, I didn’t actually realise it was a competition – I thought they were being chummy and conversational but, nevertheless, a competition it was and I was surprised to hear that my suggestion had been shortlisted into the top ten. A little while later I was contacted again to be told that my suggestion was in the top three and because of this I was invited to the Dorset Cereals factory in Dorchester for a tasting session and factory tour – yay me!!
Yesterday was THE DAY, so I duly took myself off to Poundbury and had a basically awesome day tasting Granola, chatting about Granola, finding out that warm Granola is fantastic, having a geek’s dream tour of the factory and also finding out that the people at Dorset Cereals are lovely.
After lunch we then went happily on our way with this:
and a sample of our suggested flavour which was… ha! I’m sworn to secrecy on that front I’m afraid.
So now I’m a total Dorset Cereals fan – although living in Dorset you have to be anyway, it’s like the law, but having tasted their Dark Chocolate and Macadamia Granola I am totally sold!
Clicky for their website, cos they’re running some great comps at the moment, but I’m sure you’ll be hearing more about them from me!!
