A-Z of Me

I’ve been tagged by Michelle at Old Fashioned Mummy to take part in Real Housewife of Suffolk County’s A-Z of Me Meme and she’s callously tagged all my bloggy friends, so I’ll just leave this open – do let me know if you choose to participate as I’d love to be nosy…

ANORAK…Do you have a sad side?

Urm, yes. I collect things. Random memorabilia of movies people have never heard of, all sorts of bits and bob and information. I like to collect random facts, perfect for quizzing and then I make my friends go to quizzes or play Trivial Pursuit.

BODY…What physical attribute would you most like to change?

Most of me really. I’d love to lose weight but I lack discipline and I love food. Go figure…

CELEBRITY…Which one would you most like to date and why?

Similarly to Jay at Jay’s Insight, I tend to have things for the characters people play rather than the actors – I’d much rather snuggle up with Dean Winchester than Jensen Ackles! He’s just so sweet and damaged the poor love…

DEBUT …Tell us about your first ever blog post. What made you start blogging?

My first ever post was an intro to me (not that I love to talk about myself). I started blogging to try and kick start a work from home career, but actually that’s been a bit of a non-starter and I find I now like just writing things down, taking part in memes and reading other bloggers’ stuff, so it’s another new hobby I don;t have time for :0S

ERROR …What’s been your biggest regret?

I have many, usually based around my big fat mouth getting me into trouble.

FUNNY – who’s making you laugh?

My kids make me laugh! They say and do funny things all the time, although usually when I’ve not got a video camera with me – typical!

GRAND…If we gave you one right now what would you spend it on?

I’d probably go on holiday…

HOLIDAY… What’s your favourite destination?

I love to travel and wish I could do it more. I desperately want to go to New York, but my next trip is probably another Center Parcs trip with the kids. My favourite destination has probably been Sydney. I loved it and would love to go back there – the Opera House smells of concrete…

IRRITATE… What’s your most annoying habit?

I have loads, I’m sure, but my worst has to be my insistence that I am always right. I’m aware of this problem and try so hard to stop myself correcting people, but I often can’t help it.

JOKER…Whats your favourite joke {the one that makes you laugh everytime you hear it}?

Why does Edward Woodward have so many ‘ds’ in his name? Cos if he didn’t he’d be called E war Woo war.

KENNEL… Do you have any pets?

No. I’d love to have a cat, but Mr W hates them.

LOVE…Are you single, married, engaged, living with a long term partner?

Recently married (3 wks) but we’ve been together for 13 years and have two kids. Blimey, I feel old!

MEAL… Whats your ultimate starter, main and dessert?

Chinese, Chinese, Chinese. Although Chinese puddings aren’t all that, so that would have to be a decent chocolate fudge cake, warm with ice cream.

NOW…If you could be anywhere right now where would you be and who with?

Here’s not too bad! Seriously, wherever I’m with my family then that’s the place to be.

OFF DUTY…What do you do in your spare time?

Read, watch too much US TV, blog, craft.

PROUD MOMENTS …What are you most proud of?

I guess I’m quite proud to have completed an OU certificate while looking after two kids! I am now allowed to call myself Cert Con Sci (Open) – alongside BA, MSc.

QUEASY …What turns your stomach?

Not a lot really these days, as I’ve dealt with most bodily fluids from my kids, but talking to my friend about Jackass today had me feeling a bit queasy about the one where the guy eats the eggs, voms and them cooks the vom and eats a vom omelette. Yeuch!

RELAX…How do you relax?

A book or TV show and a nice cuppa.

SONG…Whats your favourite song of all time?

Suspicious Minds by Elvis Presley. I don’t know why it’s my favourite, but it so is. The others in my top 5 change all the time, but this is always number one!

TIME …If you could go back in time and relive it again, when would you choose?

I’d definitely do my hen do again – it was the most brilliant day in London, with no strippers, or going out and getting pissed up, but being surrounded by lovely people doing nice things. I think (hope) everyone enjoyed a civilised day in our nation’s capital and a viewing of Wicked, my most favourite show. I loved it, it was just what I wanted and I’d do it all again tomorrow.

UNKNOWN…Tell us something about yourself that no one else knows?

I ate a whole bag of Giant Buttons this morning for my breakfast. I am not proud of this.

VOCAL…. Who is your favourite artist?

I love Idina Menzel – it was a real highlight to see her in Wicked and I’m so excited to be seeing her at the Royal Albert Hall next month!!!

WORK….. What is your dream job, and are you doing it now?

I’m not working at all now, as I’m looking after the kids, but my dream job would be in the arts – if someone would be willing to pay me to be a theatre critic, I’d be happy!

XRAY…Any broken bones?

No, I did crack my head open at First school.

YIKES…What’s been your most embarrassing moment?

I have too many to mention really, usually, again to do with my big fat mouth being open instead of shut!

ZOO…. If you were an animal, which one would you be?

I wouldn’t mind being a cat for a while – they always seem content…
