The A-Z Challenge – S is for School, School, Schoooool! – #atozchallenge

A while ago I guest posted over on Curly & Candid about my concerns about school admissions in our area, as we were filling out the application for our eldest son.

Well, I’m so pleased to finally be able to say that he was offered a place at his – well, our – first choice of school which is a relief as it’s our nearest school and literally less than 500 metres from our house. Hooray!

But this good news still doesn’t make up for the fact that my baby will be going to school – where did the time go!?

  1. It is very scary how quickly the time goes, but just wait until this time next year – you won’t recognise the leaps in development he’ll have had! Its amazing how fast they settle into school routine (and you do) and take it in their stride.
Just remember to enjoy littlest while he’s still a bit little and make the most of time with biggest boy while you still have it, the school day eats it up!

We will have this same pressure at the end of this year when our eldest has to apply for a second level school. There are not enough school places in town for the kids who need the places so we will have fingers, toes and everything else crossed that she gets into the school she wants!

Ohhh, your baby boy is starting school. It’s bittersweet isn’t it? I remember when mine started. My oldest will be starting college this Fall and I have the same feelings all over again. 🙂 Anxious and Excited at the same time.

Congratulations! I’m so pleased for you (I know what a horrible wait it can be!).
