I was reminded by a friend recently that when our other friend went off Au Pairing in the US that before she went we decided that we would use the Big Dipper – made up of the seven brightest stars in the constellation Ursa Major – to remind us of each other. We picked a star – I think it was the one at the end of the handle – and then every time we saw it we would be reminded of each other.
For a long time I did do this, but since she’s now returned to the UK it has gradually slipped from my mind, but since I was reminded, I’ve found myself doing it again as, although some of us live close together, some of our number still live away. It’s nice sometimes to look up, unexpectedly see the star and think of them.

Reading this has just made me smile a massive smile. I still look for that star (yes, it was the one at the end of the handle) every time I look up into a starry sky. Love you guys xxx :-)))
You too x
I still look at it too – it is usually to my right when I get out of the car of an evening. So cool. Love you all too.
You too – although I abuse you!
Yup, still look for it too 🙂 *Hugs* Love you guys xxx
