How Do You Do Yours?

Don’t worry, it’s nothing dirty. I mean how do you do your holidays? Although sometimes I’ll admit that going on holiday with your children doesn’t really seem like a holiday and full board, zero cooking would be much easier, I still prefer to go self-catering so I can make sure I know exactly what we’re eating. Ok, so even we don’t always cook the healthiest food while we’re away, but it’s nice to do it after a day out enjoying our holiday.

Holiday provider Pierre & Vacances is well known for its self-catering apartments in France and Spain and is currently offering apartments in Le Village, its premium, alpine-style ski resort at Arc 1950 in France. Ok, I went on about skiing a while back, but Arc 1950 is equally fun for families in high Summer, as it is situated in Les Arcs in South East France, home to lots of outdoor pursuits including mountain biking and glacier walking.

If outdoorsy stuff is no good for your family, then the resort also has all the attractions you’d expect from something with ‘premium’ in its name, including pool and spa facilities, shops and restaurants. There are also clubs for babies (9months – 3 years) and children (3 – 13) if Mum and Dad fancy venturing out alone. The clubs provide a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities to keep kids of any age occupied. Le Village is also a car-free village, so there is one less safety concern for parents.

Set in stunning countryside, the spacious apartments are fully equipped, as all Pierre & Vacances properties are, with Wifi, International TV, baby safety items, such as bed rails and there is a baby pack available on request. If you’re not as keen on the whole self-catering experience as I am, there is the option to turn your self-catering apartment into half-board or simply add breakfast items for an extra fee.

So why not take a look at the options Pierre & Vacances provide? If self-catering’s not for you, then have a look around their website for some of the many, many other options available.
