Welcome to It Takes A Woman!

Don’t worry – I’m not an ardent feminist, the blog title is half a nod to mummy bloggers of the world and the other half is a nod to my passion for musical theatre, as It Takes A Woman is a song from the show Hello Dolly! (don’t you just love Barbra Streisand?).

I am a mum to two boys, a cantankerous 7-year-old who is going great guns at school and an old-before-his-time 5-year-old who started talking late, but won’t now be quiet!! We currently live in Dorset.

The blog is my way of staying sane as a stay-at-home mum and is the beginning on my long road to becoming a work-at-home mum. Please do take a look around at some of the recipes, issues and products that I have been writing about and feel free to leave a comment.

If you want to get in touch please do so through my contact page.

Hiya I was trying to comment on your Good Week post but can’t for some reason there doesn’t seem to be a comment box. You really have had a good week so jealous about the Who Do You Think You Are Live tickets, but gutting that you can’t go. If you would like them to go to a good home then do think of me would love to go hee hee. Hope your good luck carries on xx

Thanks Kerry – I must admit, it was an unusually lucky week for me, but very pleased. As a matter of fact I thought I might run a giveaway for the tickets, since I can’t get hold of the magazine to send them back. Thanks for the good luck vibes!!

You know, I was looking at that picture and I thought it so looks like Lulworth Cove – and it is! Visiting via A-Z.

Now I have that song stuck in my head with Walter Matthauw (?) singing it to Michael Crawford! I love that movie. I went to school in Dorset and loved the countryside.
